Hi, Sudden
Welcome to Air Attack and to the USAAC forums.
The following link should provide you with useful information concerning the setting up of a joystick and playing the game:
http://www.airattack-central.com/how_to.phpThis next link takes you to a list of "guides" who have volunteered to help newcomers learn the game. You can send a message to any of them by using the private messaging system on the Central Launch Page.
http://www.airattack-central.com/teaminstructor.php?entryid=59To answer one of your questions...the "team" arenas are where you play as a member of a team; GB, US, SU, and GE You start and take off from the runway and play with your team against the other teams. The "free for all" arenas are different in that you start in the air and it's everyone for themselves..there are no teams. There are rules called the Code of Conduct which is published on the Central Launch Page. You should read it.
If you die a lot when you start don't get discouraged. It looks like a simple game but it does take time to learn the skills that the veterans have acquired. Ask for help and advice when you are in the arenas..many will help you. Some may even volunteer to give you some instruction.
Good luck and get back to us if we can be of further assistance.
