Anyone use a Saitek X52 that can suggest a setup for AA

Hello all,

I tried the game the other day but had trouble with my joystick.

Just asking if anyone else uses an X52 joystick, and if they could suggest some setups.

I managed to hit the first plane that attacked but found out in the middle of the fight that my throttle didn't work. I used the keyboard command but ended up with no power and a dead engine.

Is there somewhere that I can get more info on how the game is played? I'm confused as to why I start airborne instead of on a runway. Is there a user manual of any kind?

To answer one of your questions...the "team" arenas are where you play as a member of a team; GB, US, SU, and GE You start and take off from the runway and play with your team against the other teams.     The "free for all" arenas are different in that you start in the air and it's everyone for themselves..there are no teams. There are rules called the Code of Conduct which is published on the Central Launch Page. You should read it.

If you die a lot when you start don't get discouraged. It looks like a simple game but it does take time to learn the skills that the veterans have acquired. Ask for help and advice when you are in the arenas..many will help you. Some may even volunteer to give you some instruction.

Thanks for the info shrapnel. I'll check it out.

I did read the c/of/c. Noticed it mentioned not shooting teamates in the team arenas. That is something new that I'll have to get used to (old airwarrier and aces high didn't have friendly fire turned on).
