There is another option open to BBC, BSS and TEA if they wanted to try this. It has worked in the past and can work again.

Many years ago when playing FA and I was CO of BBC, we also had a problem with pilots attending matches. We forged many friends within FA and found we were not the only squad with this problem.

There was another squad that we became very good friends with called War Eagles Squadron (WES). Knowing they had a similar issue we decided to bring both squads together for matches and formed a "league" squad. This league squad was a combination of BBC and WES pilots called War Boyz (WBz).

This got 2 new squads out of trouble and enabled both squads to field enough pilots to play against some of the top squads. In those days it was nothing to have 12 or more pilots show for matches and both BBC and WES struggled to meet these demands by themselves.

Once WBz was formed it grew into a formidable squad, but each squad still remained an individual entity with both squads growing in their own right.

This might be something these squads might want to think about........form a "league" squad and be part of the fun.

Perhaps the small squads could maintain their individual identities for purposes of leadership and social activity but agree to having their best pilots fly in a match only team. Kind of like real life sports clubs provide players for regional or national competitions. Choice of a name is open for suggestion but perhaps it could be known as the USAAC match squad.

A combination of the best pilots from say, BSS, BBC and TEA, perhaps even independent pilots also, would offer a formidable challenge to the existing established squads. This could be a great incentive for pilots in the small squads to compete for a place on such a team.

I think a better solution would be for the 2 or 3 sqds mentioned( or the ones with lower numbers) to combine forces to make one nice size squad that would be a contribution to the leagues as they would most suridly field a full sqd.
TEA
BBC
Raven
1 nice full fielded sqd ready for league play!

Great minds seem to be working alike.

Ok GREAT, that is a very great thought.....thank you!   (Great minds seem to be working alike. ) pirate

but ill tell ya i did not start TEA -TEA was a squad from years & years ago i was just a pilot that wanted to join 1 of the best squads in airattack.
so i did well as years went by TEA moved to the pay site. i was 1 of the few that stayed behind i stayed here and was handed down the job as C/O.
i was doing a great job with TEA then the whole game shut down so there was no game to play.well a year or 2 later BONZ contacted me and said hay guess what? the game is back,I said woohoo ill sign right up for the game so i signed up with the name TEA_FARKAS.
(FARKAS my real last name)and the tag TEA.
BONZ seen me flying with the tag TEA and said you cant do that ,i said do what?fly with a squad name without talking to someone.
i said hay thats my name and thats my squad ill fly with it. so i kept control and contacted evey one i needed to to make it happen.
it was not a walk in the park, then we had to go befor the board and ask to be accepted then put on a 90 day probation period.
we just dont have a few pilots we have 19 pilots at the moment.and only started a few months ago.
THE EMPIRE ACES is a squad that is growing very fast.why i got so mad and started this topic is cause iv been working hard here at this job and trying everything to make this TEAm great.
TEA will remain on its own and will be a very great squad.we came along way and will continue to do so.
THE EMPIRE ACES will be a top TEAm here at airattack. alot of TEA members are mostly family & friends.
TEA_Shooter   son-in-law  /TEA_Crow  step-farther /TEABONZ family friend for about 28 years /TEA_bagger family friend for 17 years
TEA_Bag family friend for 10 years /TEA_Time knowen as TEA_Girl wife for 29 Years/TEA_Stash daughters boyfriend/TEA_square /sons boss
TEA_Extream 26 year old son and the rest was picked up from the game.

THE EMPIRE ACES WILL LIVE ON FOR EVER

Everyone wants TEA to succeed, Farkas. The more competitive squads there are the better. It's just that some of the newer squads seem to have difficulty getting enough players together at the same time to be able to play in matches. What Firestorm and Aegle suggested wasn't that these squads should fold up or join together. The idea was that, until a squad is certain of enough members to enter a league they might join together just for matches. That way the squads would still keep their own names...their own identity but join together only for competitions.

No one is telling you that you should go down that road. They are just suggesting it as something for you and other CO's to think about.

Hi Farkas,

I would suggest you contact Mutley and Valkyrie as a starting point and discuss the options from there. If you want to set up a meeting time on TS just PM everyone you want to attend or stay back after the meeting next week and have a discussion then.

I doubt you will need any guidelines with the talent you will be talking to, but I would like to attend and offer ideas from past experience.
