I request for June's meeting that the,

Head Sysops description be amended to,

Elected by the USAAC community for a term of ?

I had verified this position to be a USAAC position and the Head Sysops can then have the choice of whom can assist him or her based on the communities approval.

There is no one Sysops over all the communities as explained to me, each community has there own say on who there sysops are.

Hawk,

Maybe I'm wrong.. but this is my take on this subject as follows.

Similar to the USAAC appointing or voting on Fun Event Mgr, or League Mgr.. this community can appoint or vote on 'who' our voice might be within the Sysops Round Table. However, all that person can do is represent us, give our voice etc.. it really carries little to no weight.

So.. we can as USAAC,  elect or appoint anyone we wish. This assumes however that the person we elect or appoint is already a SysOps.

We can't replace Temper should that be what you are driving at. Nor can we really decide who the Sysops for the USA group will be. The SysOps Round Table might take into consideration our request .. but does not have to abide by it.

Whoever gave you this information.. gave the same information to me over a year ago.. but its ambiguous and does not totally stand true. I'm sure the Head SysOps would go along with a community suggestion so long as that person is acceptable and meets certain criteria to start with.

There is ONE head or lead Sysops , and he can only be replaced by MV.. or so I understand things.

Changing the title as you request makes a very long title and really won't accomplish anything as far as I can tell.

The head sysop is an appointed position.MV appointed Sal and the others. Then if they step down ,they in turn appoint a successor. Each sysop is chosen by the head sysop. The USAAC has no say in who runs the sysop team.

So in effect we cannot put in place a time frame for tenure etc.

Agenda item is therefore denied.

If you would like to have an informal meeting about this. Please let me know.
