 Hi Kids

I would like start a Saturday league starting the middle of this month.
I have put up a poll to let  the squads help with a choice of 2 leagues.

Please put in your 3 cents and vote on the poll.

1 st is the  already known LTS.
2 nd  would be AA soccer that has not been tried as a league yet.

Since this is my first time at running leagues your input will help a lot.

Pop,,,,,as we are in the middle of 4sqd, I am not sure how well of a response you will get for sqds to commit to another league while another league is running let alone during the summer months.

Just my opinion only and I do wish you all the success in your new position!

I can safely say that TKFM will not commit to another league right now during 4 sqd which runs until August 9th.

Popgun, I have a suggestion pertaining to soccer and actually it might benefit the new squads coming online.   Why not do a test run with Raven, TEA, AA, RF, and Knights, and lets see if we can some how get it worked out.

Most of the other squads are familiar with the game and well as some of the members of these new squads.

I tend to agree that with 4 squad running, we may not get much participation from squads involved with that league.  If we need to we can invite the general public to fly as guests for what ever squads need pilots.

Just a thought

Pop,

Just do it.

Open it up to the concept of teams.
Give the projected schedules/fixtures in advance.

LTS I think goes with the traditional rotation between communities. Your football league is new.. go with it. Any USA time zone competition is good news for newer pilots, independent pilots, new teams, and squads that just want to have fun and 'can do it'.

Test if just like USAAC tested LTS.. but use your 'twist'.

point taken, Yet WS just ran the SNL KTF  and had a good amount of squad participation. I dont think that will be that much of an Issue.

 Valkyrie

a good Idea  biggrin except RF doesnt have enough pilots yet. Nor does AA
 Maybe allow guest pilots?

Tbar also has a very good Idea.
we could put together some teams instead of squads.
Tbar and I also talked about having it on thursday nights as a test run...
AA soccer that is.

And I do tend to agree that  LTS should be left for the traditional rotation.

Thanks for the input guys, Any more input is gladly considered.

Pop,

Comparing SNL which has been going for years and in the spring and ran by a Squad vs. a brand new league in the summer and run by a AA Community is just not a fair comparison in my opinion. Just as Tbar wants any fun event to go off without a hitch that is being held by USAAC, I also think that the first league sponsered by USAAC needs to be very successful and have full participation for it to be seen by all communities as a good well run league.

Have you even spoken to the UK, TAA or ANZ league managers?  In the past, the leagues have been run by different communities with approval from all others in some form or fashion. I feel that if you (Representing the USAAC) just pop up and throw a league out there in the middle of another, and without conferring with the other LM's, it will give a bad taste to all the other communities and not be received well. Again, just my opinion.

Tbar and Kid, maybe we need to have a short meeting on this before the USAAC proceeds with any leagues or events.

Pop, I am just looking long term and for all of AA, not just the USA participants.

I do thinki that after 4sqd that it will be USAAC's turn to run and sponser the next whole AA Community League.

Thoughts?

Well Vipor

As I did agree with you about LTS for our turn to run a League.

But keep in mind If we want to run a league during the week
we do not have to ask any one.  Nor do I feel it will bother any one
if we run a League on a sat, such as AA soccer to give it a test run.

There is nothing happening on Saturdays any way for leagues.
If you invite all squads they should not have a problem.

Just my opinion.

Pop,

I'd like to see you get a league together with all the rules and run it as a trial run. Then when it is our turn to sponsor it,we can run with it.

The  important part is trial run...That way no one is committed to 2 nights a week.

I know you are going to do a good job as LM and your enthusiasm is good to see.

Just bear in mind the time factor and also the season (summer).

Inviting all to participate and the guest pilot provision will be of benefit to you in testing it out.

Next in the rotation is the UK. You could check the match reports from the past, that is if they were still there to see. They are probably still on the UK site, if memory serves the league before 4 Squad was The Marine Memorial LTS.
