As you know there are two options I can use to view the forums.
  • 1. As it is now opening in a new window.
  • 2. Have it open up within the main website

We need to make a decision on what we want and from previous posts there are pros and cons to both options.

Personally I dont have a preference, but my eyes tell me to look at something larger, then again thats my eyes talking, not me.

I would like to bring this up at the next meeting and get a vote on which style you prefer.

I vote for mainpage, reason being having too many windows open makes old pc's slow and since I have a old pc:  me pc runs slooooooooooooow.

Others may also have older pc's or old versions of windows etc etc etc.

Main page. Those that want a new window need only hold down the ctrl key and click, or center click on the mouse wheel to open a new window.

Lotta self-help tapes out there. Got one called "How to Handle Disappointment." I got it home and the box was empty.

Temper .. that may not be correct in all situations :)

If the forums are setup inside .. using the CTRL key may not give you the results you desire under the current content management system we are using. Catch me on TS and I can 'show" you. :)

You can get the forums to open OUTSIDE our system so they are as WIDE etc as you wish .. but 'right click', "open in new window" .. but again it depends. No doubt if you use the 'right click' and "open in new window " on the "HOME" button here on the forums will do the trick :)

Guys and Dolls.. just wait .. give the poor Web Manage some time to work this.. lol.

Put them in an iframe on the front  page.If you want to have a wider look then you can bookmark the Home link once in the forums.

You would effectively have a choice. That way both options will work.

It is now set in stone....here we are all wrapped in the main page.

For those that prefer the bigger screen, Right Click and go to Open in New Window...

Thanks all folks

Hi All,

Ok where do I right click to get the option to open in a new window for a larger view. Have to say I don't like having to scroll sideways to read a post.

If this is the way its going to be, its going to take some getting used to or I need to go back to my old monitor..... lol

Hummm maybe I need better glasses to.......  ;D

At the top of the forum the button that says Home.
Right click and choose open in new window or new tab..You can then bookmark that page.

I hate this new window thingy...i hate it i hate it i hate it... >:(
It was great the way it was before except that maybe the main page needed to be screen width. I don't want to mess about with right clicking this and that. That doesn't work anyway when i'm trying to start a new topic and write the first post....I hate it I hate it I hate it. >:(
Also I'm really irritated with the log in procedure which is constantly requiring me to re set my password.
Yes I know you are all very smart and don't have these problems but I am one of these people who wasn't dropped on my head as a baby so I don't make a good computer person.
Anyway I hope you are all having a nice day  :) Kiss

PS I don't have these problems on the UK site, not that I want to change my affiliation. I have different problems over there. I can't read the washed out print, the logo is very wishy washy and they all talk funny.   ;D
