I realize that this may be a little late to bring up, but I do not believe that it is fair to award a team 8 points for a forfeit.  A team could actually win the whole event by forfeiture. 4 points would be more equitable.

Tis a tough call.

Lets say that the LTS has a total of 5 games. there are 8 points in each game to be won ( like TS did this weekend). If TS win all 8 rounds in each game they have 40 points.

If BBC win every game except last the have 32 points. there are 8 points left to be had for BBC.

But in last match USHA forfiets against BBC giving BBC only 4 points.

Final count is TS 40 points and BBC 36 points. Even though BBC and TS play all there matches, TS wins do to your scoring suggestion.

Seems like a team cant show then other team should win all the rounds they showed up to play !

Yes a team can theoretically win by forfeiture but that seems fair if they show up for every game and no one shows to fight them. Not a show of skill but it is fair i believe.

Perhaps it would be easier just to go a win / lose format.

If a team wins the game they get a point. If they lose, they get noting,

This way there would be no up keeping with rounds or points other than the game point.

Sure it would look a little boring but it beats the extra point awarded for a tie.

Then again, If I where behind in points, I could just make sure that my team ties the games we play to go for the extra point to help make up for lost point in other matches.  If you just have one game point, no worries. Only one point to, no scheming to go for extra points.

Just a thought, but I could be wrong and not looking to make extra work for anyone.

Scoring will be as is....... :)

If you have at least 5 pilots show up and the other team does not then it will be a forfeit and 8 points will be awarded...

However if both teams show up and do not have 5 pilots then they both will forfeit and no points for either...
