We will be doing a flyby for Marine next weekend.
Please stay tuned for the exact day and time.

This weekend is not good due to the Labor day holiday here in the USA.

I want to have a grand turnout for him.

Bah, I don't believe it!  Used to have some great times with Marine.  I'll miss him.  I hope the Flyby will be a time I can make it next weekend.

Flyby will be at 1:30 PM EST on Sunday Sept. 7th 2008

All bases except the northern bases will be available for pilots to use.

USHA will fly from the northern base south to the main bases and the missing man will fall out of formation once we reach that area and we will continue south till off the map.

Once we take off from the north I will ask for silence in the chat.
We ask that all pilots stay in spawn position until command is given to scramble.

Once the scramble is given, all pilots are to fly around all bases in a clockwise direction and then land once you get back to your base.

Sincerely,
Kid

There are still a lot of people that have not signed the guestbook. Please take a few minutes to do so. Let's show Johns' family that Air Attack players care.

You don't have to type in some eloquent prose if you don't wish to, a simple "Blue Skies" will suffice.

Thank you

Lotta self-help tapes out there. Got one called "How to Handle Disappointment." I got it home and the box was empty.

That flyby was another great experience showing what a special community we have.
Many thanks to  Kid for the nice words he wrote.
I am not afraid to admit they brought tears to my eyes.
I would love to see them repeated here.
Thanks for organizing the flyby.

(Apologies for the behaviour of evil_skyrat. He joined EVIL just a few days ago, and I think he just hadn“t got a clue what was going on in that arena and was just following other pilots who came in from open teams)

Thanks for your kind words.Per your request here is the Eulogy for Marine.

God looked around His garden,
And found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth,
And saw Marine's tired face.

He put His arms around him,
And lifted him to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best.

He knew that he suffering,
He knew that he was in pain.
He knew that he would never,
Get well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough,
And the hills were hard to climb.
So He closed Marine's weary eyelids,
And whispered "Peace be thine.

It broke our hearts to lose him,
But he didn't go alone.
For part of us went with him,
The day God called him home.

Rest in Peace and Semper Fi Marine

Well done Kid and USHA for a beautifully executed missing man formation. It was a very solemn, moving experience and a fitting tribute to your fallen comrade.

Unfortunately it was around 3.030am for me and that was just a little too early to be getting up.

RIP Marine

Thanks everyone for all the kind words. That's what makes our game so unique.Where else can you find a game where players have actually known each other for such a long time.

It was a grand turnout for Marine. And USHA thanks all of you for attending.Even those who could not make it made a point to express their thoughts.
I'm sure Marine was smiling from ear to ear.As a matter of fact..I think it was him that booted me out right at the end of it.He had to use the sysop tools one more time to let us know he was watching.

Tulla,
I understand how your wife felt.Believe me,she was not the only one with tears in her eyes.I had a hard time seeing what I was typing, hence  some of the mis-spelled words.

Sincerely,
Kid
