Farewell To TS_H@wk

I'm copying a post from TS_Honolulu_Ho on the UK site.
Quote
Re: Good-Bye Old Friend
To anyone and everyone that has worn a TS tag. please put on your colors August 8th after the LTS matches to help honor a fallen friend, TS_Hawk.
I would consider it an honor if the rest of the community would join us by sitting on the runways to pay their respects.
I will call Steves wife and see if she would like to come and help us celebrate TS_Hawks life.
I say celebrate instead of mourning because I know that is the way Steve would have liked it.
Celebrate my life, do not mourn my death.
Feel free to contact me:

Aloha
I know that Hono asked for his account on this site to be cancelled some time ago. However I would appeal to him and those running this community to put aside whatever differences they may have, re-institute his account so that he may organize this send off within our own country's community. This is a time when we should all come together.

Hi Shrappy,
He needs to re-register if he wants to post. Once his account is deleted its gone.

I knew that didn't I?
Thanks, Fire. I guess it's up to him but I had hoped we could all come together to honor our friend.

I just wanted to share this with everyone. This was sent to my old Terror Email and It came from Hawks wife. I had done a mass email under Terror, Ice and Hawk wife were the only 2 to respond. This is what she wrote:
Just want to say thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers Steve loved flying with all of you as he would say Blue skies Patty. Steve would love a flyby

Lotta self-help tapes out there. Got one called "How to Handle Disappointment." I got it home and the box was empty.

Thanks Temp, maybe you can help me make a rookie room that we could put up this week and maybe have a count down of the time/day? I'm thinking 5pm central time due to whenever the LTS gets over. Im not sure on how to get ahold of anyone. Hope some TS guys show up with there tags on and its not just me. At the end of the flyby everyone will be able to take off and round the bases without shooting please.
Thanks again Temp

Fury, you might want to sniff around the BBC camp, I hear there is 2 or 3 ex TS over there, so I am lead to believe.

Thanks Breezy, sorry that we took over but this needs to get done, we didn't hear from you so we are running with it.
Whoever shows up with there TS tag will fly the Yak 3 (Steve loved this plane), we will take off from the SU base and go North at around 5pm central time. Im thinking everyone should be done with there LTS match, I hope. Like Hono said, anyone that has ever flown a TS TAG and would like to join in flying can do so.. Hope to see all Hawk/Steves friends there as much as possible as we are going trying to get his wife in the room to watch on the tarmac.
I hope everyone reads this and this isnt written too late. It is a few days away (next Sunday).
Thanks Fire, Not sure if anyone ever reads these forums anyway, but i'm hoping people read this one if they knew Hawk and would like to pay there respects.
Hope to see everyone there and Thank you from the Terror Squad and Hawks family.

We can do that. I'll get with you on Teamspeak tonight.
Temp, I have to tell you this as every time I see that little bug going around on the screen on every post you make I always think of Hawk/Steve. Back in 2008 when we met everyone at Hono's crib, we were all down in this huge bsmt of Hono's mansion with Coldhearted, Joe Pilot, Hono, Hawk and myself and Steve looks over at me and says "What in the f@@k!" I got a God Da@n bug in my f-ing screen! How in the heII did that happen!!!!!! I look over and hes got his big old finger picking at his screen! like he was going to squish it. After realizing it was part of your sig, Man we laughed so hard we were crying. So, even b4 he past away, everytime I see that bug running around on my screen, I think of that moment in time that we laughed so hard and hearing him right now as I type this puts a smile on my face. It was so long ago but it was like yesterday. Funny how time flies.
I talked with Kid tonight and he was greatfull enough to help us out with putting the flyby room up. Thank you Temper as I know you were going to do this. Thanks again Kid.

LoL!! I can imagine him saying that in that deep booming voice of his. Thanks for sharing that story.
I'll try to get the flyby posted as a news item on the front page today as well.

Never met him on Teamspeak but we had a couple interesting debates on forums and I knew him well from flying in the arenas.
I´d like to attend the flyby but it´s far too late for me.
I´ll be there in spirit. Wish him blue skies from me, pls.
