This week's BackYard Brawl had 25 brave pilots in their cockpits anxiously waiting for the scramble order to be given to let off a week's worth of steam in one of the most action packed events in awhile. Even though I missed my target as much as I hit any tonight,I had an awesome time. There were some great battles to be had, both on and off the bases. Each base had smoke rising from both sides of their runways and the ground between the bases resembled an aircraft junkyard with smoldering plane carcasses everywhere. In the first half GB gained the upper hand pushing US back to their base but the clever US pilots snuck thru and turned the tables to win the first half with a score of US= 88 and GB= 74. In the second half I noticed Smilin Bob starting out with a star from the first and soon he had another but it spelled his doom being like a big target on his back. As the US took control GB didn't give in,fighting back furiously but in the end it was US =223 to GB= 127. Great Job US,Great Game All.

Lotta self-help tapes out there. Got one called "How to Handle Disappointment." I got it home and the box was empty.

Just a thought and by all means kill me for havin it but isn't it a team game?
Seems to me that very often most of the high scorers are on the losing team. Could that have anything to do with them trying to be high scorers instead of playing for their team?

Mind you I've noticed that the same thing sometimes applies to pilots in squads during competitions. They are more interested in getting kills for themselves than for their squads.

Yep I know BYB etc are fun events and everyone should get their fun in whatever way suits them best so don't take me too seriously on this. Was just a passing thought and I thought it might make for an interesting conversation.  pirate

Maybe I'll test my theory out in the next fun event I take part in. I'll go for kills instead of team support. Probably won't prove anything since I'm too bad a pilot to get many kills whatever I do.  lol

Despite my little theory I had fun last night and want to say thanks to those that organize and run these events. They do a great job.
