In new version of FFA I found that I was being kicked around by SSI like his rag doll and my frame rate was slow, by this I mean video was slow so in further investigation I started to play with my net card settings. I found that these settings gave me a lot better streaming video and more real time game play to access this feature on almost any net card the path is Control Panel / Device Manager / (your ) Network Adaptors  / right click Properties / Advance / now in advance you will see settings for  jumbo packets increase jumbo packets to 9014. Also under the advance tab you will see performance options in performance options you will find receive Buffers and transmit buffers I have increased receive buffers to  512 also under transmit buffers I have increased to 1024 this has made it a lot smoother frame rate or video making it almost possible for me to take advantage of SSI

Do you have an onboard or individual card? Sounds like individual and yes playing with your settings certainly helps. I add 4MB of ram to my card via the IRQ setting which gives it an even greater boost.

You can of course buy a gaming network card as well that has all the optmized settings.  Cool

Went to device manager and upt the recieve and transmit as much as allowed which was less than what you wrote so I now will go see how it helped. As for jumbo packets my options were to switch from disabled to enabled.

We shall see!!

Thanks!
