Game Specific
Squadrons will enter a private arena set up for a team game with no other modifications. There will be no passwords. The launch of the event-arenas, will be visible for the participating squads and all referees only. It is required, that your squadlists are up to date. Pilots who aren´t listed in your squadlist, can´t see the launch of the event-arena.
This is the first attempt to use the TAA usergroup-features in such a way, so we don´t need any passwords. I hope it works well. If not, the head-referee will start with sending out mails to all C/O´s containing passwords. Each match will be assigned a referee and you must adhered to his/her instructions at all times.
C/O's: it is your responsibility to ensure that all pilots in your squad are registered at the TAA website showing the name or names that they fly under for your squad. (If your Squad uses match tags i.e.: numbers or letters. A list needs to be submitted to the LM,with pilots registered name and their match tags. That way he can post for referees and they can cross check, to make sure we have no multi squadding.
Map boundaries:
Teams will stay within the boundaries set by the LM. That is 1 square out from the main group of runways. Any pilot leaving the map will be classed as dead and their team will be docked 1 ratio point accordingly.
Squads may field up to 8 pilots in one quarter and may substitute players during breaks. Squadrons failing to produce any pilots within 10 minutes of the allotted start time of the game will forfeit said game. Referees can penalize squadrons that cause delays in the match longer than this time.
The match will be split into 4 quarters, with each quarter lasting 20 minutes.
Teams will be assigned nationalities as per the fixture list and will move round 1 place clockwise at the end of each quarter - the first team listed starting with SU then GB, GE and finally US.
There will be no countdown, and no lining up. When the Referee is ready he/she will call for the CO's to report ready, after which there will be a SCRAMBLE announcement and the game will begin. Teams must not move from the side of the runway (i.e. the arena-spawn positions) until the scramble announcement.
Fixtures will not be re-arranged for any reason other than server failure. Guest pilots for 4 Squads are allowed, as long as they aren´t playing for a 2nd squad in the same competition as well. Therefore: no ´wildcards´, no ´multisquadders´. All guest pilots need to be listed in the squadlist of the squad they´re playing for.
Scoring
?The points are awarded per quarter:
Win = 4 Points
2nd = 3 Points
3rd = 2 Point
4th = 1 Points
Ratio points will only count per quarter. No total will be kept other than determining the position in that quarter. So if you win all quarters you can win a max of 16 points. All squads with the same result in a quarter (tie), will receive the same amount of leaguepoints.
0 (zero) points, if a team does not show up for a match.
Play offs-
There will be no playoffs for 4 squads.
Behaviour -
Squadrons should not flood the arena comms during the match. Banter between Squadrons is acceptable and encouraged. Spamming is not. Referees will be instructed to penalise any squadron that disrupts the other teams by flooding the comms or refuses to obey their commands.
Runwaying, runway ramming, persistant crashing and escaping by an individual or team will result in that team being penalised. Continued misbehavior after this point may result in forfeiture of the game. In this matter the Referee has the final judgement.
Unsporting behaviour:
This league is intended to be fun for all teams playing in it, consequently teams must be seen to be playing the game fairly.
It is not permissible for a squadron to deliberately remain seated on the runway and refuse to take off or to avoid engaging the enemy for prolonged periods of time.
Neither is it permissible for a team to 'quit' a match early because they are losing.
It is at the referees discretion as to whether he/she feels that a squadron have been deliberately unsporting and they can award the game to the opposition. The referees decision on this will be final, supported by a recording of the game to the LM. Any disputes will be handled by the LM as is appropriate.
The Referee must not be rammed, shot, stabbed, run over, mutilated, burned, covered in tar or feathers, beaten, battered, verbally or physically abused, or generally ignored.
Squadrons must cease shooting and land immediately at the end of each quarter. If a squadron continues killing then they may be penalised a league point.
Squadrons must refrain from verbally taunting other teams. Banter is what the game is all about. Abuse is not. Judgement in this matter will reside in the hands of the Referees.
Refs will be instructed to handle it this way:
1st time warning ( by Referee)
2nd time pilot that does, is suspended from the next league-match of his/ her squad. (Pilot asked to leave arena by Referee, followed up by Leaguemasters)
3rd time squad is suspended from the next match on their fixtures. (Pilots asked to leave arena by Referee, followed up by Leaguemasters)
Grievance / Complaints -
If squadrons have a complaint regarding one of the other teams, or a referee, the CO only will email the Leaguemaster.
It is advised that at least one member of each team as well as the referee records each game to help clear up any possible disputes. Complaints will not be heeded without this evidence.
Suggestions -
All suggestions may be emailed to the LM. All suggestions will be logged, but may not be implemented until the next season.
